When a chopper bud of mine told me about a local dude who was building a Panhead Chopper, I had to find out exactly what was going on. Some might call it “nosey”, but I like to think I’m just eager to meet more motorcycle enthusiasts in the area. Either way, thankfully I am that way, ’cause I was blown away with this bike and got to befriend the dude who put this thing together. Between the no nonsense paint job and anti-acid bondo work, it was way cool. Although a seemingly simple bike, with a closer look, I had to admire all the effort that was put in to this killer sickle. The back drop you see here is where the bike was built, but what puts it over the top to me is the fact that this dude hasn’t built a chopper in…no joke…50 years! Seeing pictures and hearing stories from the old days tripped me out how down to earth he was. I’m definitely honored to call him a friend. I can’t wait to jam down the highway with him and his stylin’ chopper.
